Course Description:

Men’s Wear II is a 40-clock-hour course in the Fashion Study Program. In this course, students will learn specialized techniques for men’s wear, including differences in fit and tailoring. By the end of the course, each student will complete a tuxedo jacket and a tuxedo shirt.

Week One

Draft:
- Tuxedo jacket
- Tuxedo shirt
Cut fabric for the tuxedo jacket (including lining) and tuxedo shirt

Week Two

Learn how to construct a tuxedo shirt placket
Learn how to create formal cuffs (for cufflinks)

Week Three

Learn pattern grading
Begin work on the tuxedo jacket and tuxedo shirt

Week Four

Continue work on the tuxedo jacket and tuxedo shirt

Week Five

Continue work on the tuxedo jacket and tuxedo shirt
