Course Description:
Costume Design is a 40-clock-hour course in the Fashion Study Program. In this course, students will explore a variety of costuming techniques, including fabric dyeing, hat making, basic prop construction, garment adjustments for quick changes, and weathering.

Learn about research, sketching, and budgeting
Week Two
Learn how to dye and weather fabric
Week Three
Learn about working with foam and thermoplastics
Week Four
Learn how to make a simple silicone mold
Week Five
Learn how to create wool fabric
Make accessories using wet-felted wool
Week Six
Learn basic prop painting and weathering techniques
Week Seven
Create basic silicone molds for props and costume jewelry
Week Eight
Cast several jewelry pieces using resin and the silicone molds created in class
